Keeping Audiology Students Busy
Are you currently supervising students and need suggestions for how to keep them busy? Fuel Medical’s Director of Audiology, Dr. Rose DuLude, has some ideas for you! In addition to what you’ll learn in this video, here are some other practical solutions you can implement to get those students the hours they need to graduate:
- Call patients who are coming near a warranty of service plan completion to extend the warranty or sell them a new service plan.
- Update all patient information to ensure that all health data and contact information, etc., are up-to-date.
- Every manufacturer is providing online training for remote programming. Given that this is the wave of the future in audiology, ensure that they are well versed so that that they, intern, can train all of the other certified and licensed audiologists.
- Start an upgrade loaner program, so anyone who has hearing aids 3 years or older comes in via dropbox to pick up a brand new set for them to try out. What an easy way to upgrade your current and existing patient population!
- At your discretion, they can revert back to when they were in a university clinic and practice on each other with role plays…
